The Policy Board provides essential community involvement, participation and support to the Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Program on measures to restore and protect the significant resources of the Albemarle-Pamlico region. It was established by North Carolina Governor's Executive Order. The Policy Board includes representation from various interests in the basin as well as two representatives from the each of three advisory committees.
